On the afternoon of June 7, at the invitation of Preventive Treatment of Disease Department of our hospital, a traditional medicine delegation from Mexico consisting of 13 people came to visit Beijing Royal Integrative Medicine Hospital. Zhang Yue and Meng Hui, both leaders of hospital office, extended warm welcome to this delegation on behalf of the hospital. The delegation consisted of local teachers teaching medical science, local doctors practicing traditional Chinese medicine and staff employed in traditional medical science. Their purpose was to study clinical practice and traditional Chinese medicine teaching in Beijing Royal Integrative Medicine Hospital. The delegation visited the pharmacy of traditional Chinese medicine, Acupuncture and Massage Department, traditional Chinese medicine clinic of Famous Doctor Hall. During the process of visiting the pharmacy of traditional Chinese medicine, Guo Dan, head of the pharmacy kindly introduced the equipment manufacturing granules, traditional herbal medicine slices, herbal medicine in small packing and traditional Chinese medicine service projects, which aroused intense interest and admiration among the delegation members. They also experienced the four methods of diagnosis which includes observation, auscultation, interrogation, pulse feeling and palpation and asked for instructions on traditional Chinese medicine from Doctor Lao Ruiping.
At Acupuncture and Massage Department, Peng Minghua, head of this department introduced the current situation of acupuncture and massage in traditional Chinese medicine locally. The delegation members visited projects such as acupuncture, moxibustion, and massage and asked their questions. They also told Chinese counterparts about the clinical applications of traditional Chinese Medicine in Mexico. After that, they took a group photo with physicians working in Acupuncture and Massage Department. After the tour, the delegation exchanged ideas with leaders of Hospital Office and Doctor Wang Yinghui of Preventive Treatment of Disease Department covering the current situation of traditional Chinese medicine development, clinical implementation, traditional Chinese medicine clinical education, etc. The delegation was very satisfied with this visit. Members of the delegation expressed their strong will to have an opportunity for long-term exchanges and study in the hospital again. Both sides expressed their will to have further exchanges and cooperation, and had preliminarily reached an agreement on the intention of exchanging doctor project and clinical practice project among Mexico students.
