Honorary President of Beijing Royal Integrative Medicine Hospital. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the China Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment Project, Executive Board Member of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), Executive Board Member of the Asian Society of Gynecologic Oncology, and Honorary Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His previous roles include Vice Minister of the Ministry of Health, Vice Dean of Tsinghua University School of Medicine, and Visiting Professor at Harvard Medical School and the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
With over 60 years of clinical experience in gynecological disease prevention and gynecologic oncology, Professor Cao has conducted extensive research and achieved high clinical proficiency in the early diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer. He has pioneered significant surgical innovations and breakthroughs in cervical cancer management. He has made distinguished contributions to the treatment of complex gynecological conditions and is a preeminent figure in the field of obstetrics and gynecology in China.
He has published over 120 academic papers and served as the Editor-in-Chief for more than 10 medical monographs, including Chinese Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology in China. He has supervised 23 doctoral candidates and received six medical science and technology awards from the state and the Ministry of Health.
